There’s strength in passion
I’m constantly blown away by the people we have in our business.
It’s not just the talent we have in answering our client’s technology problems either through our solutions business or via the talent we can provide, which we see on a regular basis, but it’s also the lengths that we are all prepared to go to make sure we do a job well done.
It’s not only in a work environment where I notice this. It’s also in the way that everyone engages with Nash Squared and their lives outside of work.
From our art competition and the thought and dedication that went into the artwork that now hangs on the walls of our London HQ to the World Games that have just finished, where colleagues pushed themselves in physical activity to get as many points as they possibly could, we are an organisation of people that are prepared to go the extra mile.
Being bold with passion
Those of you that attended the Strategic Update Webinar earlier last month will be aware of the story where I was asked if our message for this year, ‘be bold’, was about working longer hours, and my reply was that it’s not about working more hours, but more about pushing yourselves outside of your comfort zones. I find that if you are passionate about what you’re doing, you are more likely to ‘be bold’ and find more innovative ways of resolving issues.
I believe that passion is something that makes us more ‘human’, one of our key values. And I really think that it is something that we have in abundance within our business.
When I think about what I am passionate about from a work perspective, it always comes back to people and technology, exactly what Nash Squared is all about. For me, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing a candidate’s life changed with a new career move or an organisation that we’re working with find an answer to a technology issue that is troubling them.
I hope you have a restful weekend, and manage to spend some time doing something outside of work that you are passionate about
