Stepping Up
We have just started the second half of our year, many people will have had or are about to have their summer holidays and I am about to record our quarterly strategic update on our progress as Nash Squared. I always find this time of year bitter sweet.
The summer in the Northern hemisphere is in the latter stages and about to tip towards a new season. The first half of the year has been and gone and we will have achieved some great successes and hit bumps in the road that have really tested us. At the same time, we have half a year ahead of us and plenty of opportunities to keep doing the things that are working and adjust our course around the things that are not helping us.
Executive updates
Recently I shared some changes that I made in the Executive team. This is a good example of what I am referring to in making sure we constantly work at enabling us to act with Pace and Focus. I announced a brand new role for Nash Squared, Chief Commercial Officer to which I have appointed Rhona Carmichael into that role. This is to strengthen and power up the Pace and Focus around our sales growth across all of our businesses, selling more of what we do into our clients.
I promoted Jason Pyle, as Harvey Nash USA President, to the Executive team. The USA is a key geography for us. It is the largest, most mature market in the world and today, in Harvey Nash, around a third of our business comes from that market, so having Jason at the centre of this was an important next step for us.
The third part of what I announced was the creation of a Managing Director for the UK & Ireland, Germany, Poland, Switzerland and Australia. Bringing these important geographical teams together, under a single leader, will enable us to adapt and learn from each other at pace.
There are many similarities around our service offer strategy in these countries and we achieve things faster through working closely together. These geographical regions also make up around one third of the Harvey Nash revenues. I appointed Andy Heyes to this role.
I am sure you are curious about how these roles will work and what each of those appointed are focused on right now. So, rather than hear this from me, I thought it would be good to have each of them take over my blog and tell you in their own words. Next week, Andy Heyes will be taking over my blog, followed by Rhona Carmichael and then Jason Pyle.
Any questions?
Yesterday you will have seen an email from me saying I am recording the quarterly Nash Squared update and inviting you to send in any questions you may have. I would love to hear from you.
In the meantime have a good weekend and keep safe and well.
