Spring in Düsseldorf
This week I have been in Düsseldorf with the ExCo for our now regular six monthly offsite strategic review summit.
On the first evening we met for dinner with members of the German leadership team headed up by Christian Umbs. The ExCo and I were joined by
Frank Pfitzer Director Contracting Germany
Edvin Avdijaj Senior Manager Temp South
Fatih Kilic Associate Director
David Weber Senior Manager
Anne Schwarz HR Business Partner Central Europe
Alexander Afzalyar Finance Director Germany
Maximilian Nobis Director Permanent Recruitment
Sebastian Russ Director Business Development for NashTech Germany
There is no better way to spend time in my opinion than with colleagues getting to know each other, sharing ideas and perspectives and just having a lovely time together. We also spoke about cookery, (yes we really did!); our most favourite recipes and what they mean for us, the memories they evoke for us when we make them. It was such a lovely evening and I know the ExCo enjoyed it every bit as much as I did.
Over the course of the evening together we talked about building teams, leadership, creating a strong and sustainably growing business and of course at some point we talked about fast cars. I was so impressed and blown away by this fantastic team of leaders. What really impressed me too is the way that the Harvey Nash team work so closely and collaboratively with Sebastian from NashTech. Complete respect for each other’s skills and sharing ideas just worked naturally.
Thank you for a fantastic evening, I was so inspired by the quality of this team and for the way they work together, really bringing life to our values.
This morning you will have also seen the work of our ethNASHity employee resource group with the launch of ‘Life on a plate’, a cookbook chock full of the recipes of colleagues and their story of what makes each recipe special to them. I even managed to sneak a recipe in that makes me happy too. Let’s get sharing this beautiful cookbook which was published today and can be accessed here Download your copy of the cookbook here
Keep safe and well, and hoping that you enjoy the weekend ahead.
