Reasons to celebrate
I don’t know about you but I love a good celebration. There are few things more joyous than getting together to recognise an important event or milestone. In our wider lives this can be a wedding, a birthday milestone, the adoption or birth of a child, you get the idea.
In the work context we absolutely should and do celebrate a colleague’s milestone in the company such as a 5 year anniversary or a promotion, or a great piece of feedback from a client, knocking a target out of the park, completing a great project on time and with fantastic results. I have seen all of these examples in action this year as leaders share great news of their colleagues achievements. These things make us smile don’t they?
Winning awards
Recently we have also been successful in winning some important recognition outside of our company. Another great reason to celebrate.
These include awards across many of our brands and on a global stage. This quarter alone we have won three best recruitment company awards, software development and digital transformation awards, as well as great company to work for in a number of countries.
Last night our Harvey Nash brand was recognised for the second year in a row as Best Company To Work For by REC, the UK’s largest professional body for the industry.
Each of these awards call out extraordinary work at gold standard level. Speaking for myself, I could not be prouder of our great colleagues who every day deliver outstanding results for our clients.
Celebrating our people
This week we also celebrated and looked back on the past quarter with our town hall updates. My favourite parts of these zoom calls were the videos of colleagues being interviewed to bring their work to life for us all. This time we had Victoria from Belgium tell Damian about her journey from working in Poland to her transfer to working jn Belgium.
The second video was Melanie our Chief people officer being interviewed by Juliane our new Switzerland Harvey Nash leader.
We run these town halls twice on the day to ensure colleagues in the different time zones can join in. Despite watching the videos twice I found myself leaning forward really engaged in hearing these great stories.
We talked about the near future too. Whilst there is uncertainty in many markets around the world, the absolute thing we know is that Technology resources, whether that is fully offshored solutions needs or highly skilled contractors and permanent candidates, is in ever increasing demand. We are an agile business, with all the skills we need between us to navigate the world ahead.
The many reasons we have been celebrating the success we have had is testament to that.
Wherever you are based in the Nash Squared family, you are in great company. Enjoy the weekend ahead and take time to rest and recuperate.
