One Giant Leap - A proud moment with NASA
Last week I was working in New York alongside colleagues from our USA businesses - Harvey Nash and NashTech -and David Savage, our Technology evangelist. There were a number of key reasons to be there and one of them was to celebrate the sheer quality of the work we do and the brands that represent that work around the world.
The way we chose to do that in New York was alongside NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, when we co-hosted an event on exploring the next frontier of AI.
I have relived that event in my mind over and over this past week. There were so many moments on the day which gave me shivers of excitement and made me want to pinch myself as I could scarcely believe we were doing this. After all, it is not every day that you get to speak alongside rocket scientists.
Tech Flix goes stateside
On the day, we aired our Tech Flix documentary on AI and Robotics filmed at the National Robotarium in Edinburgh, where David was given free rein to access all areas and speak to a number of world leading experts.
We heard from Dr Christyl Johnson, the NASA Goddard Deputy Director and NASA’s Director of AI, Dr Omar Hatamleh, who for 20 or so precious minutes outlined his predications and expectations for the impact of AI and robotics on all of our lives in the years ahead. I was really lucky to have time on my own speaking with them both individually, talking about their careers and how they see the future. I will always cherish those conversations. =
David is a fantastic ambassador for our business as he continues to draw attention to the impact of Tech on the world of work and life in its broadest context through his highly followed and admired Tech Talks podcast, and the more recent Tech Flix.
I don’t think I have ever been more proud of our colleagues, our work and our brands, as we stood alongside NASA and shared our knowledge and expertise with a room full of clients.
I wish everyone a restful weekend and I look forward to seeing and speaking with you soon.
