Making a difference
For me, and I know for many of you too, the work we do for our clients is always at the front of our minds and what we focus on day to day. At the same time I know we are all aware of the responsibilities we have in thinking wider to the many communities we walk through on our way to work and the many ways that we can use our skills for good in helping those in less fortunate positions to ourselves find a way to gain work.
Wherever we are in the world my wish for us as Nash Squared and our fantastic family of brands is that we never lose sight of the communities. When we open a new office we of course will plan how to attract new clients, candidates and contractors. At the same time we should also plan what we can do to support the community we now work within.
Shiny new buildings
On my travels around the world last year I saw many shiny buildings sat amongst communities where life was more challenging for those who live there. Those building bear the names of many famous brands. I was very conscious of our responsibilities to those communities.
Yes, it’s wonderful that we provide jobs and contribute taxes which of course help with investments back into the communities, but I know that we can do so much more and indeed we do just that.
Our impact
We go out to schools and help children see the value of a future career in tech, we work with governments to set new school syllabus to teach children relevant skills so that they are equipped to be able to successfully get jobs. We take on charitable challenges to raise funds that will help people feed, clothe and educate their families. We donate tech and resources. There is so much that is part of the culture of Nash Squared that make us the human business we are and I am truly proud of what we do and how we are a fully rounded business.
A new year ahead
As we face in to the new year ahead of us I always take the time to pause and reflect on how much impact we can make together on the world around us. We contribute to the economies, filling jobs, bringing fresh talent to the workplace, enabling businesses through the developments we deliver to be more efficient and to grow thus creating more positive impact on the world around us. Wherever we are in the world I know we will actively participate in the communities we live and work to make a difference there too.
The impact of 3000
Every one of us has the opportunity to be a force for good and make a positive change in the life of even one person. With over 3000 colleagues in our business today that would mean that over 3000 lives in the communities we work would be better off because of what we do. That really makes me happy to think of our impact.
