In great company
Whenever I find myself in amongst a gathering of people, no matter what the purpose, I find myself feeling part of something bigger on this planet. I feel inspired by those around me, find myself standing up just a little taller (I am fairly short anyway) and leaning in to listen just that little more intently. Whether it’s a gathering of family or friends, a kick off like the ones we are all currently participating in, or like yesterday when I was invited to speak on a panel at the CIO Employee Experience forum.
A room full of clients and prospects
I was sat on the panel alongside CIO/CDO titans and in a room full of our clients and prospective clients. Just before us was a speaker, Mary Wallace who is Retail & Consumer Behaviour Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IBM and spoke about the real life use of the metaverse. She was entertaining and so informative, really had me wanting to learn a lot more about their work.
I will certainly be following up with her. It’s so great when we get to spend time with people who inspire us to be even better versions of ourselves don’t you think? The CIO/CDO attendees and speakers from yesterday’s forum are leading fantastic digital transformation journeys of their own and I was proud to read the many company names in the room that we are on that journey with them in at least one part of Nash Squared.
Our panel was speaking about challenges and opportunities in the hybrid working world. Bearing in mind that this was a conference for CIOs the majority of the questions and debate was not about the tech involved at all, it was mostly about engagement, attraction and retention of their people in this new world which has become our new normal. I really enjoyed the session and received a lot of requests to connect and to speak which you can imagine I am rapidly following up on.
Digital Leadership Report
Talking about surrounding ourselves with great company I know that there have been some highly successful Digital Leadership Reporting events and meetings held in the UK regions in the past few weeks with speakers and hosts from all parts of Nash Squared. They have been so well attended by clients and prospective clients too. I even heard in one case that we had received two active inquiries for support from companies due to attend one of these events which had not even taken place at that time.
When we surround ourselves with great people, build opportunities to share and learn from each other, then great things happen. I can’t wait to hear more on how we do even more of this around the Nash Squared world.
Radio Day
This week we also had the Nash Squared Radio Day where we had our very own DJ hosts from around the world, starting out with Rick Ferguson leading us off in Australia and ending in the USA with Natalie Crain. Of course we hosted it again in Antwerp, a very cool city and office to do this from. Thanks Jeroen to you and your team for being great hosts, to Rob Grimsey, Dave Savage and Michelle Thomas for all the work you put in to make this a total success on the day and for all the presenters and their guests, you rock! I think this showcased just how diverse and special our people are around the world. I don’t know about you but I am already looking forward to the next time we do this!
I wish you time to rest and recuperate over the weekend. Keep safe and well.
