Guest Blog: Good Things Happen When We Work Together by Auke de Jong, Business Unit Director - Netherlands
When our CEO Bev asked for a guest blogger to take over the CEO Blog, I grabbed this opportunity with both hands, and I am honored to share this with you.
Let me start by briefly introducing myself. My name is Auke de Jong and I have been working at Harvey Nash for two years now, responsible for sales and marketing for all of our brands in the Netherlands.
My blog is about sales and collaboration between different countries and brands. If we listen carefully to our customers and not so much sell our services but solve our customer's problem, I believe we can grow three times as big.
Our story begins.
The story starts with our customer, Siemens. One of our largest customers in the Netherlands, where we do all our contract management behind the MSP, Tapfin. A part of Siemens was sold to an organization in Germany. This new organization was named NEM.
We then entered into discussions with NEM and managed to convince them to have the flexible shell of the Dutch organization managed by our MSP Flexhuis. A great first customer in collaboration with Harvey Nash for Flexhuis, who had only been part of our great company for a few months at the time. This certainly would not have been possible without the efforts of Frederieke and Elise.
The introduction of Spinks on Site
Soon after the successful implementation of our MSP at NEM, the demand for new permanent employees arose. At that time, we had just started to launch Spinks on Site in the Netherlands and we saw another opportunity.
With the tireless efforts of our Spinks sales manager Alaric and support from the UK from Chantelle and Robin in particular, we convinced the customer with this service that we could help them in this way. And a few weeks later, our talent manager, Stuart started at NEM.
Now 7 months later, Alaric is in discussions with NEM Germany to start an RPO program here in collaboration with our German colleagues Alexander and Max in the same way as in the Netherlands.
In summary, if we as an organization work together as entrepreneurs and really solve the customer's problem, we have everything in place for great growth this year.
