Cyber Awareness Month 2023
Hello everyone
Sunday sees the start of two important events. For the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands it is the beginning of Black History Month, an important event for which we will be sharing more information in those countries over the next few weeks.
The second event, Cyber Awareness Month, is relevant worldwide, and – as it celebrates its 20th anniversary – is the topic of today’s blog.
The theme for this year is ‘it’s easy to stay safe online’, and during the month, we aim to inform, educate and think about the future of cyber security and what it means for us all, both professionally and personally.
Where technology and talent meet
To me, cyber security is a touchpoint where technology and talent come close. It’s very much related to people – humans are both the problem and the solution.
Here at Nash Squared, we have many ways in which we can help our clients stay safe. Either by hiring an exceptional security professional who can help them
implement their safety plans, or by advising them on software that could fend off a cyberattack.
October is seen as a time where we can all make sure that we are doing all we can to protect not only our work-related accounts, but also review anything personal that we access online. If anybody has their Cyber Security and Phishing course outstanding on the Nash Academy, now is a great time to complete it.
We all know that having passwords which include numbers, letters, phrases and symbols are the most secure, but there are many other ways in which you can protect yourself online. During this month, we have lots of interesting and informative content from both within our organisation and externally, so do keep an eye on the Nash Squared social channels as well as the Nash Hub.
Treasure hunt
Speaking of the Nash Hub, we’ve hidden five cyber thieves around the site. The first person to find all of them will win a mini prize. To begin your journey of finding these nasty little crooks, click here. Don’t worry, it’s not too difficult.
So happy hunting, and learning a bit more about cyber security over the next few weeks. This month is beneficial for all of us across the business, and you can always learn more.
