AI and Nash Squared
If you are anything like me, you will no doubt be fascinated with developments in Artificial intelligence, especially most recently with the launch of GenAI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
This isn't just a personal fascination. AI has the ability to really enhance how we work and - as a technology and talent company - create a new source of growth for us through providing AI skills and solutions to our clients.
At Nash Squared, we are already deep into testing and piloting how this technology can improve our business. A large number of people in the group have access to Copilot, and we are already seeing positive feedback about how it is helping people research, as well as write documents. AI is not just a productivity tool, it has the potential to make our data much more meaningful and automate many of the boring, manual tasks we are currently performing.
In the upcoming Quarterly Strategic Update on June 11th, Ankur our CIO, and Jason, MD for Harvey Nash USA, will go into this in more detail.
What strikes me about AI, and in fact this is true of any technology that changes our business, is that just how much it involves people. And how important it is that people can guide and evolve the offering.
Of course as we grow as a company, AI will allow us to be more productive, and I hope that means that as we grow our headcount we can achieve more than we have ever done with each new hire.
But while you may see lots of reports of how AI will replace humans, I can’t really see that happening. Without doubt it has the chance to enhance what we do, perhaps in a significant way - but ultimately Nash Squared is a people business, and it’s these human attributes - the insights, the humour, the persuasion, the judgements, the ethics - that really make us stand out.
That's why one of our key values is this: 'human'.
