A Year of Change – 2024 Harvey Nash Tech Talent & Salary Report
We have an amazing history of producing excellent thought leadership. Our Digital Leadership Report (DLR) is world-renowned and has helped us win many customers, not to mention firmly cementing us as true experts with CIOs and other digital leaders.
But today I’m not going to be talking about the DLR (don’t worry, we are in the process of planning the next one).
Today, I want to talk about our latest thought leadership, the 2024 Harvey Nash Tech Talent and Salary report. Another fantastic tool that we can use to speak to clients and candidates, as well as further strengthening our position as experts.
And if that wasn’t exciting enough, we’ve partnered with LinkedIn on this report to provide exclusive insights on many of the topics covered.
It’s a really interesting and important read, whatever your role.
What does it cover?
In short, a lot – there is something for everyone.
The report contains insights from over 2,700 candidates across the world on a wide range of topics. We asked them how happy they are in their current role, whether they intend to stay put or look for other career opportunities, and what, if they do plan to change jobs, are they looking for when it comes to compensation and benefits.
It also has salary benchmarking information – something we are asked for time and time again.
I’m sure you’ll agree, these make for fantastic discussion points that anyone hiring tech talent will want to know about.
4 key takeaways from the report:
- We could be in for a year of change as many tech professionals intend to change jobs in the next 12 months
- Routes into technology are changing, presenting an opportunity for forward thinking companies to attract more talent
- Currently we have harmony when it comes to hybrid working, but any further changes will make it harder for companies to hire tech talent who value flexibility
- Cultural resistance to AI has been swept away, the focus is now on ‘how’ – both in terms of the tech and skills
Getting the most from the report
We really want you to get the most out of this report. As with the DLR, it’s another great tool to have which helps us stand out even more from our peers, so keep an eye out for your invitation to our internal briefings. But you don’t have to wait for these before using it. Download it, read it and talk to your clients about it.
And even if you don’t work in a client or candidate facing role, it’s still worth a read. Not only will it give you an indication of the market we’re currently working in, but if you know anybody that works in the technology industry, HR or are responsible for hiring tech talent, this might be something you can share with them.
Have wonderful and relaxing weekends.
