A week of reflection
It’s always intriguing to me how events in life trigger thinking and change the way we view things. At least that is what I have found in my life so far. Some events have more profound impact than others. You are no doubt wondering where I am going with this line of thinking?
As you know, I shared in last week’s blog my thoughts and impressions on my visit to Vietnam. This deep but rapid immersion in Vietnam as an experience of the country as well as fast dives into the work of our teams in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City have been in my thoughts all week.
I have found myself comparing and contrasting different country cultures and, of course, the ways we work in our businesses outside of Vietnam. It really has helped me solidify what I already thought about our Nash Squared home for all of our capability worldwide.
Sometimes in life, no amount of talking via Teams will ever replace the depth of experience you get from ‘being there’. I have been very fortunate in many of our businesses to have been able to be on the ground and so much of what I thought I understood was validated by going and seeing for myself.
I know just how talented our colleagues are around the world. I have sat in meetings, discussed projects and career paths with many colleagues in our Harvey Nash, Talent IT, Spinks, Alumni and Crimson businesses and our sales and engagement specialists in the UK, Australia and US NashTech teams. I had a strong impression of what and how we do our work in Vietnam and a vision of how all of these fantastic skills could come to the aid of our many clients around the world.
Spending time with the teams in Vietnam only served to deepen my conviction that we are truly unique here at Nash Squared. We put our clients at the centre of our thinking and apply all of our capability in service of their goals. We can know with confidence that the quality of experience and outcome they will receive is second to none, no matter where they connect with us in the world. Our collaboration journey is extraordinary.
It is every day now, not on the odd occasion, that I get to hear first hand how we come together to solve clients challenges, no matter what our ‘home’ business line is or our location. It’s an exciting time to be in our business, to develop our careers and to work on the most interesting projects and client brands.
I know I will carry the experiences with me over the years ahead and that whenever I get to spend time with colleagues around the world, it serves to fuel my excitement in our future path.
As we head towards the weekend, I wish everyone the chance to rest and recuperate. Keep safe and well.
